Stan Druckrey, a 1970 graduate of UW-La Crosse received his master's degree in physical education from North Dakota State University in 1971.
Druckrey was an outstanding trackman in the WSUC meets while attending UW-La Crosse. He ran hurdles, sprints, and was a member of the sprint relay team. During his four years at UW-La Crosse, Druckrey, who still holds nine UW-La Crosse track records, tried on two occasions to make the United States Olympic Team as a hurdler. In 1972 he reached the semi-finals heats and in 1976 he reached the quarter-finals before being eliminated.
