Selected to the WIAC All-Time Track & Field Team, Mike Schnur was a six-time conference champion in the pole vault at UWL. He captured the league title three times during the indoor (1994, 1995, 1996) and outdoor (1994, 1995, 1997) season.  Schnur was named the 1996 WIAC Indoor Field Performer of the Meet. He won the NCAA Division III indoor pole vault championship in 1994 and 1996 while placing second in 1995. 
 
Schnur was a member of four (1994-97) WIAC Indoor Championship squads and two (1994, 1997) NCAA Division III Indoor Championship teams.
 
Along with the three outdoor conference titles in the pole vault, Schnur captured the 1997 title in the decathlon.  He won the NCAA Division III Outdoor crown in the pole vault in 1994, 1995 and 1997 while also finishing seventh nationally in the decathlon in 1997.
 
Schnur was a member of four (1994-97) WIAC Outdoor Championship squads and one (1997) NCAA Division III Outdoor Championship team.
 
He earned his bachelor's degree in parks and recreation management. Schnur is the lead utility operator for the City of Mounds View, Minnesota.
