    Larry Halverson ended his UW-L career as the all-time leading basketball scorer at 1,822 and held the record for the most points in a season, 629 in the 1979-78 season under coach Burt McDonald. Halverson also held claim to seven other school records.

    Halverson took his list of "mosts" and "all-time" to his coaching career at Desoto High School, Savanna, Il, Western Wisconsin Technical College and UW-L where he was the assistant basketball coach form 1979-80 and assistant summer basketball camp director from 1981-87.
