Four top finishes in the AIAW national badminton tournament from 1973-1977 highlight Janet Wigglesworth's collegiate career at UW-L. The Illinois native brought home one second, one third and two fourths from the national tourneys. She also played field hockey during that time. After graduating with highest honors, Wigglesworth went to southern Illinois University in Carbondale where she coached badminton and earned a master's with an emphasis in the racquet sport. She returned to UW-L in 1979 to teach phy ed and coach. She coached badminton until 1981 and both field hockey and softball until 1984. She was named conference coach of the year for badminton in 1981. After leaving La Crosse in '84, she went to Indiana University where she teaches phy ed and completed doctorate in human performance.
