Sharon Johnson lettered in four sports; field hockey, volleyball, basketball and softball, at UW-La Crosse from 1970-73. In basketball, Johnson as a junior led her team in scoring (14.2 points per game), rebounding (8.5 rebounds per game), assists, steals, and field goal percentage (54%).
UW-L was the basketball state champions all three years she played and in 1972 the team finished fourth at the Midwest Tournament. When Johnson was team captain her junior and senior years, the team compiled a 27-4 record. In field hockey, Johnson was a Midwest College North Team 1 Selection her junior and senior years and an All Midwest 2nd Team Selection her senior year. Has taught physical education and has coached at West Bend-West High School for three years and Siren (grades 6-12) for eight years. Has compiled a 78-51 record as coach of Siren High School's girls' basketball team, leading them to conference championships in 1981, 1982 and 1983.
