Eau Claire, Wis. - The University of Wisconsin-La Crosse golf team finished second as a team at the Blugold Georgianni Invitational hosted by UW-Eau Claire on Sunday.

THE BASICS
Results: UWL finished second overall with a two day total of 674 (342, 332) as Gustavus Adolphus College (Minn.) won the team title with a team score of 663 (329, 334). Rounding out the top five was UW- Eau Claire in third place (347, 335 - 682), UW-La Crosse B (369, 352 - 721) fourth and Gustavus Adolphus B (366, 358 - 724) fifth.Â
LOCATION:Â Lake Wissota Golf Course, Chippewa Falls, Wis. (Par 72, 5,733 yards) on Saturday. Eau Claire Country Club, Eau Claire, Wis. (71 -5,703).
HOW IT HAPPENEDÂ
- Haley Thoeny led the Eagles as she earned medalist honors with a tournament total of 162. After shooting an 84 on Saturday, Thoeny shot a 78 on Sunday.Â
- Claire Kelbel finished tied for fifth place as she finished with a two day total of 167 (85, 82).Â
- Lauren Ambrookian (84, 93), Allie McBryde (89, 88) and Allison Balduzzi (93, 84) all tied for 14th place as they finished with a 177.Â
- Playing on the Eagles B Team was Kiya Bronston (85, 85 - 170) who finished tied for eighth, Madeline Trannel (93, 86 - 179) 18th, Nora Gogin (93, 94 - 187) and Lucy Nielsen (98, 89 - 187) and Gabriella Matzek (102, 92 - 194) tied for 30th.Â
- Eagle, Regan Hermanson, played as an individual and finished 20th with a 172 (95, 86 - 181).
