Whitewater, Wis. - The University of Wisconsin-La Crosse golf team is in 11th place after day one of the UW-Whitewater Fall Invite at TPC Wisconsin on Sunday.
THE BASICS
Results: UWL is in 11th place (347) as Pomona-Pitzer University (Calif.) leads the way with a team score of 295. In second place is UW-Stout (312) while Aurora University (Ill.) is in third place (323), University of Dubuque (Iowa) is in fourth place (324) and Illinois Wesleyan University is in fifth place (325).

HOW IT HAPPENED
- Haley Thoeny was the top Eagles golfer as she shot an 83 to sit tied for 27th place.
- Two strokes behind Thoeny tied for 36th place is Allie McBryde with an 85 on day one.
- Next for the Eagles was Kiya Bronston who shot an 88 and is tied for 51st place.
- Allison Balduzzi shot a 91 to be tied for 69th place while Claire Kelbel finished with a 92 and is tied for 78th place.
- Lauren Ambrookian was the lone Eagle playing as individual as she shot an 89 and is tied for 61st place.
