Hastings, Minn. - The University of Wisconsin-La Crosse golf team is in fifth place after day one of the D3 Classic hosted by Gustavus Adolphus College (Minn.) on Saturday.
 
THE BASICS
Results: UWL is in fifth place (313) as UW-Stout leads the way with a team score of 302. In second place is Macalester College (Minn.) (304) while Gustavus Adolphus College (Minn.) is in third place (309) and Saint Benedict (Minn.) in fourth (312). 
LOCATION: Emerald Greens Golf Course, Hastings, Minn. (Par 72, 5,875 yards)

HOW IT HAPPENED

• Allison Balduzzi and Haley Thoeny led the way for the Eagles as they both shot a 76 to be tied in seventh place.
• Four strokes back is Kiya Bronston with an 80 to be in 27th place.
• Next for the Eagles was Allie McBryde in 33rd place with an 81 while Claire Kelbel shot an 84 and is in 50th place. 
• Eagles playing as individuals were Lauren Ambrookian who shot an 80 and Madeline Trannel who finished with an 85.
