River Falls, Wis. - The University of Wisconsin-La Crosse golf team is in sixth place after day one of the Falcon Invite hosted by UW-River Falls.
THE BASICS
Results: UWL is in sixth place (344) as UW-Stout leads the way with a team score of 321. Rounding out the top five was Dakota Wesleyan (330) in second, UW-Stevens Point (335) third, UW-River Falls (340) fourth and UW-Stout B (342) fifth.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- As a team, UWL sits in sixth place out of the eight school, 10-team tournament with a day one score of 344. UWL's B team shot a 346 and is in seventh place.
- Claire Kelbel led the Eagles with an 83 to be tied for 11th place while Haley Thoeny is tied for 13th place after shooting an 84.
- Next for the Eagles is Allie McBryde who sits in 29th place with an 88.
- In 36th place is Lauren Ambrookian with an 89. Once stroke back of Ambrookian was Allison Balduzzi (90) in 42nd place.
- Also playing for UWL on Saturday was Madeline Trannel (83, 11th), Lucy Nielsen (87, 25th), Gabriella Matzek (87, 25th), Kiya Bronston (88, 29th), Nora Gogin (88, 29th) and Reagan Hermanson (89, 36th).
