Hastings, Minn. - The University of Wisconsin-La Crosse golf team is in seventh place after day one of the Gustie Spring Invitational hosted by Gustavus Adolphus College (Minn.) Saturday. 
 
THE BASICS
Results: As a team, UWL shot a 345 to sit in seventh place after round one. Bethel University (Minn.) leads the tournament as they shot a 226 while the College of Saint Benedict (Minn.) is in second place with a 228. Rounding out the top five teams was Gustavus Adolphus College (Minn.) (229) in third place, Macalester College (Minn.) (232) in fourth and UW-Eau Claire (338) in fifth.

HOW IT HAPPENED

• Allie McBryde led the Eagles with an 81 to sit in eighth place.
• Next for the Eagles was Claire Kelbel as she is in 28th place after shooting an 86.
• Finishing three strokes back of Kelbel is Allison Balduzzi (89) and Haley Thoeny (89) who are tied for 40th. 
• Also playing for the Eagles was Lucy NIelson (86), Bethany Vidruk (87), Kiya Bronston (88), Fernanda Ossa (90), Nora Gogin (92) and Lauren Ambrookian (92.)
