Reedsburg, Wis. - The University of Wisconsin-La Crosse golf team finished fourth overall as a team at the Wisconsin Intercollegiate Athletic Conference Championships (presented by Culvers).
THE BASICS
Results: 4th/8 teams (327, 334, 334 - 995). UW-Stout (304, 311, 320 - 935) won the WIAC Championship with a three round total of 935 while UW-Whitewater finished second with a 983 (323, 336, 324). In third place was UW-Stevens Point (326, 337, 326 - 989) followed by UW-La Crosse in fourth place (327, 334, 334 - 995), UW-Oshkosh (331, 323, 342 - 996) and UW-Eau Claire (324, 341, 335 - 1000) in sixth. UW-River Falls (339, 340, 332 - 1011) finished seventh overall while UW-Platteville (339, 330, 348) was eighth.

What is at stake: UW-Stout will receive an automatic bid into the NCAA Division III Championship that will be held May 19-22, 2026, at Desert Willow Golf Resort in Palm Desert, Calif.
HOW IT HAPPENED
- UW-Stout's Julia Imai won medalist honors as she shot a 230 (74, 77, 79) over the three rounds.
- Haley Thoeny was the Eagles top golfer as she finished fourth individually with a 238. After shooting a a 3-over 75 on Friday, Thoeny shot an 81 in round two and an 82 in the final round.
- Allie McBryde shot her best round of the tournament on Sunday to finish tied for 19th with with a 250. McBryde shot an 82 on Sunday after shooting an 83 on Friday and an 85 on Saturday.
- After shooting an 82 in the first two rounds, Allison Balduzzi shot an 87 to finish tied for 22nd with a tournament total 251.
- Kiya Bronston was next for the Eagles as she shot a 259 to finish tied for 39th. Bronston shot an 89 on Friday and an 86 on Saturday before shooting an 84 in her final round.
- Finally for the Eagles was Claire Kelbel (87, 88, 86) who shot a tournament total 261 to finish tied for 43rd.
- Also playing as individuals for the Eagles is Nora Gogin (87, 82, 90 - 259, T-39th), Lucy Nielsen (90, 87, 84 - 261, T-43rd), Madeline Trannel (89, 83, 89 - 261, T-43rd), Lauren Ambrookian (87, 87, 91 - 265, T-47th) Gabrielle Matzek (88, 90, 88 - 266, T-50th) and Regan Hermanson (96, 89, 92 - 277, 63rd).

- The WIAC Championships wrap up the fall portion of the Eagles schedule. UWL will not be in action again until spring break when they travel to Litchfield Park, Ariz to play in the Southwest Minnesota State University Classic March 16 and 17.
