Madison, Wis. - The University of Wisconsin-La Crosse golf team finished 11th out of 17 teams at the UW-Whitewater Invitational Sunday and Monday. 
 
THE BASICS
Results: As a team, UWL (327, 331 - 658) finished in 11th place as Centre College (Ind.) won the team title with a 611.  Also finishing in the top five was Illinois Wesleyan University (315, 313 - 628) and Randolph-Macon College (Va.) (310, 318 - 628)  tied for second place while Trinity University (Texas) (316, 313 - 629) was fourth and Christopher Newport (Va.) (303, 327 - 630) fifth.

HOW IT HAPPENED

• Allison Balduzzi shot the lowest score for the Eagles as she finished tied for 16th with a 158 (78, 80). 
• Haley Thoeny finished two shots back of Balduzzi with a 160 (81, 79) as she tied for 26th. 
• Next for the Eagles was Jenna Wiebke who tied for 55th with a 169 (82, 87) while Grace Ellison was tied for 58th with a 171. 
• Also playing for the Eagles was Sophie Denure (T-62nd, 173), Claire Kelbel (T-62nd, 173) and Erin Rosencrantz (T-72, 178).

• The Eagles will take next weekend off as they prepare for the 2024 Wisconsin Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (WIAC) Championships which are October 4-6 at the Reedsburg Country Club.
