Lakeland, Fla. - The University of Wisconsin-La Crosse women's tennis team opened its spring trip with a pair of wins Monday at the Lakeland Beerman Courts. The Eagles earned a 6-3 victory over Wheaton College (Mass.) followed by a 7-2 win over Franciscan University of Steubenville (Ohio). UWL improves to 12-3 on the season. 

The Eagles won two of the three doubles matches and four of the six singles duals in their victory over Wheaton (Mass.). Against Franciscan of Steubenville (Ohio), UWL swept the doubles and took four of the six singles matches. 

Emma Heinert won both of her singles matches on Monday (No. 5 and No. 3) while Tasha Bailey/Hannah Cady went 2-0 at No. 1 doubles.
