La Crosse, Wis. - The University of Wisconsin-La Crosse women's tennis team host UW-Eau Claire in the Wisconsin Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (WIAC) Tournament Semifinals (presented by Culver's) on Thursday, April 23.
Match time is 1 p.m. at the Green Island Tennis Complex.
UWL, the tournament's top-seed, claimed the WIAC regular season title with a 6-0 dual record in the fall. It marked the Eagles' 16th league title in school history and first since 2006. Head coach
Bill Hehli has led UWL to four (2003, 2005, 2006, 2025) WIAC regular season championships.Â
The Eagles finished undefeated in conference duals for the third time in school history (2005, 2006, 2025).
UWL earned a 7-0 victory over UW-Eau Claire on October 10, 2025.
The Blugolds, the tournament's fourth-seed, advanced to the semifinals with a 4-0 victory over fifth-seeded UW-Oshkosh on Tuesday, April 21.
In the other semifinal on April 23, second-seeded UW-Whitewater hosts third-seeded UW-Stevens Point.
The championship match will be played on Saturday, April 25 at the highest remaining seed. The winner earns the WIAC's automatic bid to the National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) Division III Championships.
UWL is 18-2 overall this year.
Lily Jorgenson leads the Eagles in singles victories, going 19-2 overall.
Lauren Lindow is 18-6 on the season and
Caitlyn Stadter is 18-7.
Tasha Bailey is 15-4 overall,
Shelby Roth 15-6 and
Hannah Cady 14-2.
The Eagles are 128-33 (.795) in singles overall.
In doubles, Bailey and Roth are 17-5 this season while Cady and Jorgenson are 1-0. UWL is 74-15 (.831) in doubles.
