Amy Enright and
Samantha Wiekamp tied for first on the uneven parallel bars (9.800) at the National Collegiate Gymnastics Association (NCGA) Individual Event Championships Saturday night in Mitchell Hall. It is the first national title for Enright and Wiekamp, who tied for the crown with Katie Fiorilli of UW-Whitewater and Maddy Scozzie of State University of New York Cortland.
The 9.800 on the uneven parallel bars by Enright, Wiekamp, Fiorilli and Scozzie broke the Mitchell Hall record of 9.725 set by UW-L's

Enright and Wiekamp are the first UW-L gymnasts to capture the NCGA title on the uneven parallel bars since Schubert won three straight crowns (2004, 2005, 2006). Enright, Wiekamp and Schubert join
Kris Robbins (1985),
Lisa Kartman (1986),
Susie Milts (1988) and
Michelle Saxton (2003) to win the uneven parallel bars in school history.
UW-L's
Ali Berry placed fourth in the floor exercise (9.725) Saturday while
Elsa Spitzmueller and
Kelsi Vomacka tied for seventh (9.675).
Enright, Wiekamp and Berry earned NCGA First Team All-America honors Saturday while Spitzmueller and Vomacka were named NCGA Second Team All-America.
The top-six finishers (plus ties) earn NCGA First Team All-America accolades while the seventh through 12th-place finishers (plus ties) earn NCGA Second Team All-America honors.
In other results Saturday, Enright placed 14th on the floor exercise (9.575) and Wiekamp tied for 14th on the vault (9.575). UW-L's
Lauren Wilson was 17th on the uneven parallel bars (9.200) while the Eagles'
Kerry Scafidi finished 17th (8.900) and
Kari Willett 19th (8.475) on the balance beam.
Enright earned NCGA All-America honors in the all-around (38.250) in the team competition March 27 with a third-place finish. It is the highest finish for a UW-L gymnast in the all-around since
Christa Booman captured the national title in 2011.
Fiorilli captured the national vault title (9.850) Saturday while Abby Clark of Springfield College (Mass.) won the balance beam (9.775) and Kaylee Jondahl of UW-Stout the floor exercise (9.800). Fiorilli tied the Mitchell Hall record for the vault of 9.850 held by UW-L's

Barbara Gibson was named the 2015 NCGA Coach of the Year at the conclusion of Saturday's competition. Gibson, in her 30th year at the helm of the Eagles, led UW-L to its 16th NCGA title March 27 with a team score of 191.525. It was UW-L's first national crown since 2011. The team score of 191.525 ranks second in NCGA Championship history. UW-Whitewater scored a record 193.025 to win the national crown in 2014. UW-L set single-season highs on the vault with a 48.000 and balance beam at 47.950 at this year's championships. The Eagles scored 47.450 on the uneven parallel bars and 48.125 on the floor exercise.
UW-L's team score of 191.525 also set team and Mitchell Hall records. The Eagles broke their own school record of 191.275 set at the 2004 NCGA Championships and set the Mitchell Hall record, surpassing the 190.850 by Southeast Missouri State University in 2007.
GIbson has led the Eagles to all 16 of their national titles (1986, 1988, 1995, 1997, 1999, 2001, 2002, 2003, 2004, 2005, 2006, 2008, 2009, 2010, 2011, 2015).
It marks the sixth time (1989, 2001, 2005, 2008, 2010, 2015) Gibson has been selected the NCGA Coach of the Year, the most in NCGA history.
She has also led UW-L to 19 Wisconsin Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (WIAC) titles (1988, 1990, 1994, 1995, 1997, 1998, 1999, 2000, 2001, 2002, 2003, 2004, 2005, 2006, 2007, 2008, 2009, 2012, 2014) and been selected the league's coach of the year six times (1988, 1990, 1993, 1995, 1997, 2005).
Lauren Pocius of Springfield (Mass.) and Cici Talcott of UW-Whitewater were named the NCGA Co-Outstanding Senior Gymnast of the Year.
