La Crosse, Wis. - The University of Wisconsin-La Crosse gymnastics team continued its winning ways against Wisconsin Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (WIAC) competition as they defeated UW-Eau Claire and Winona State University (Minn.) on Friday night.
THE BASICS
Final Score: UW-La Crosse 192.600, UW-Eau Claire 188.500, Winona State University (Minn.) 187.825

Next Up: The Eagles will be back in action on Saturday, March 7 when they travel to Winona, Minn. for WIAC Championship/National Collegiate Gymnastics Association West Regional. UWL will be in session two of the championships which will start at roughly 4:00 p.m.

HOW DID IT HAPPEN
VAULT
- As a team, the Eagles scored a 48.475 as they took home the top five individual scores. Winona State scored a 47.200 and UW-Eau Claire recorded a 46.975.
- With a season high 9.775, Paige Breckwoldt won the vault while Cobi Powell scored a 9.750.
- Next for the Eagles in third place was Sarah Pastore with a 9.700 followed by Ava Kaspryzcki with a 9.675
UNEVEN PARALLEL BARS
- With a career high 9.800, Madalyn McCormick won the uneven parallel bars.
- Also finishing in the top five for the Eagles was Azia Hawkins and Claire Robbins as they tied for fifth with a 9.650.
- As a team, UWL finished with a 48.075 while UW-Eau Claire recorded a 45.750 and Winona State had a 45.575.
- Addison Ward led Winona State on the bars with a 9.725 to finish second.
- UW-Eau Claire was led by Kinley Rose who finished third with a 9.700.
BALANCE BEAM
- UWL would win the balance beam by a slight margin over UW-Eau Claire as the Eagles finished with a 48.100 and the Blugolds had a 48.050. Winona State recorded a 47.150 as a team.
- Linnea Vasali of UW-Eau Claire won the individual title with a 9.800 on the balance beam.
- Claire Robbins would finish second with the top Eagle score of 9.750.
- Next for the Eagles was Lucy Warren in third place with a 9.725.
- Gabby Kraft was the top performer for Winona State as she tied for fourth with a 9.700.
FLOOR EXERCISE
- UW-Eau Claire would have the top two finishers on the floor exercise as they scored a 47.725 while UWL finished with a 47.950 and Winona State had a 47.900.
- UW-Eau Claire's Emily Leese won the individual title with a 9.700.
- Hunter Matulka and Claire Robbins were the top Eagles finisher as they tied for third with a 9.650.
- Winona State's Jessica Miley and Frankie Jo MacAskill also tied for third as they were the top performers for the Warriors.
