La Crosse, Wis. - The University of Wisconsin-La Crosse gymnastics squad is set to compete at the 2026 Wisconsin Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (WIAC) Championship (presented by Culver's) and National Collegiate Gymnastics Association (NCGA) West Regional Saturday, March 7. Session one is set to start at 12:30 P.M., and session two is set to begin at 6 P.M. The 52nd edition of the championship will be hosted by Winona State University (Minn.) at McCown Gymnasium.

Session one will feature, Hamline University (Minn.), Gustavus Adolphus (Minn.), Simpson College (Iowa.), UW-Stout, and Winona State. Session two includes, UW-Eau Claire, UW-Oshkosh, UW-Whitewater, and UW-La Crosse.
The conference meet also serves as the West Region qualifier for the NCGA Championship scheduled for Saturday, March 20 at State University of New York Cortland. The top two teams from the WIAC event, along with qualified gymnasts and potential at-large teams will advance to the NCGA meet.
EAGLE HISTORY AT THE WIAC CHAMPIONSHIPS/NCGA WEST REGIONAL
- UWL has won a league-record 24 WIAC titles in school history, including 19 in the last 31 seasons.
- The Eagles finished second at the 2025 WIAC Championships/NCGA West Regional with a score of 192.975.UW-Oshkosh, with a score of 193.925, won the 2025 WIAC Champioinship/NCGA West Regional Title while UW-Whitewater was third with a total of 192.850.
- Head Coach Kasey Crawford is in her 10th season at UWL. She led the Eagles to a WIAC Championship in 2018 and led her team to an NCGA National Championship in 2025. UWL has also placed second at the NCGA Championships in 2017 and 2018. The Eagles finished third at the 2022, 2023 and 2024 NCGA Championships. Crawford won 2022-23 Coach of the Year. Crawford was a four-year letter winner and two-year team captain at UWL, competing from 2004-08.

Team
- As a team this season, the Eagles are averaging 192.198 points with season high of 193.150 coming at the Simpson College dual on January 24.
- So far this season on each event, the Eagles are averaging 48.163 on the vault, 47.594 on the uneven parallel bars, 48.503 on the balance beam and 47.934 on the floor exercise.The Eagles won five dual meets this season while winning the UW-La CrosseTriangular, finishing second at the University of Northern Illinois University and third at the University of Nebraska Quadrangular.

- Paige Breckwoldt has led the Eagles so far this season on the vault with a season high of 9.775 while averaging a team season best 9.672. Breckwoldt's score ranks tied for fourth on the WIAC Honor Roll in the vault.
- Also averaging above a 9.600 this season is Cobi Powell (9.641) and Ava Kaspryzcki (9.607).

Uneven Parallel Bars
- Claire Robbins is leading the Eagles this season with a season average 9.650. Her season best 9.775 ranks tied for third on the WIAC Honor Roll.
- Also averaging above a 9.600 this season is Madalyn McCormick who is averaging a 9.619. Her season high of 9.800 came at the UWL Triangular on February 27 and is ranked second on the WIAC honor roll.

Balance Beam
- Robbins and McCormick also lead the Eagles on the balance beam as they are averaging a 9.679 and 9.663, respectively. McCormick has the top individual score on the beam for the Eagles with a 9.850 which is second on the WIAC Honor Roll.
- Also averaging above a 9.53 or higher is Lauren Main (9.592), Lucy Warren (9.587), Darby Savage (9.583) and Lainey Vogt (9.534).
- Warren and Raina Christenson are the defending WIAC/NCGA West Regional Champion on the balance beam after tying for first at the 2025 Championships.
Floor Exercise
- Breckwoldt has been the top performer this season on the floor exercise as she is averagin a team best 9.637.
- Joining Breckwoldt by averaging higher than a 9.600 is Grace Kehr (9.610), Adeline Snyder (9.608) and Robbins (9.607).
