Gymnastics Picks Up Another WIAC Gymnastics Win; Wins All Four Individual Titles

Adeline Snyder tied for the top spot on the floor exercise on Friday night.
St. Peter, Minn. - The University of Wisconsin-La Crosse gymnastics team defeated Gustavus Adolphus College 190.800 to 183.225 on Friday night. 

THE BASICS
Final Score: UW-La Crosse 190.800, Gustavus Adolphus College (Minn.) 183.225
Location: Sponberg Gymnastics Studio; St. Peter, Minn.  
Next Up: The Eagles will be back in action on Friday, February 20 when they take on the Warhawks of UW-Whitewater at the La Crosse Center. Competition is scheduled to start at 6 p.m.

HOW DID IT HAPPEN
   
VAULT
  • As a team, the Eagles scored a 47.725 on the vault while the Gusties scored a 46.850
  • UWL's Lily Millington and Gustavus Adolphus' Cara Wong tied for the event total with a 9.650 on the vault.
  • UWL teammates Ashley Dalton and Cobi Powell tied for third with a 9.550. 
  • Paige Breckwoldt rounded out the top five with a 9.525.
    UNEVEN PARALLEL BARS
  • UWL took home the top five spots on the  uneven parallel bars as they scored a 47.725 as a team. Gustavus Adolphus finished with a team total of 44.475. 
  • With a 9.675, Madalyn McCormick won the individual title on the uneven parallel bars. 
  • Next was Claire Robbins with a 9.575 while Ashlyn Barker finished third with a 9.550. 
  • Also finishing in the top five for the Eagles was Azia Hawkins in fourth (9.525) and Grace Edwards in fifth (9.400). 

    BALANCE BEAM
  • UWL won the balance beam as a team as they had the top four finishers scoring a 48.250.
  • Lucy Warren would finish right behind McCormick in second place with a 9.700. 
  • Tying for third place was Lauren Main and Lainey Vogt with a 9.625. 
  • Megan Gille (9.600) was the Gusties top finisher in fifth place as they scored a 45.200. 

    FLOOR EXERCISE
  • Once again the Eagles would have the top individual performer as Morgan Engels and Adeline Snyder both scored a 9.575 on the floor exercise. 
  • Grace Edwards of UWL and Wong of Gustavus Adolphus tied for third with a 9.525.  
  • The Gusties, Zara Reboks, finished fifth with a 9.450.  
  • As a team, UWL scored a 47.100 on the floor exercise while Gustavus Adolphus finished with a 46.700.
