Madison, Wis. - The Wisconsin Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (WIAC) has announced its award winners following the completion of the 2026 men's indoor track and field championships. Head Coach Josh Buchholtz and his staff were honored as the WIAC Coaching Staff of the Year. 
 
 

Josh Buchholtz, 18^th Season

• UWL has been named the WIAC Indoor Coaching Staff of the Year four straight seasons and six of the previous sevens years. Prior to the 2018-19 season, the award was named WIAC Coach of the Year which Coach Buchholtz received the honor seven times.  
• UWL won their 15th WIAC indoor Championship under Buchholtz. 
• UWL won five individual titles and one relay at this year's league championships while recording 206 team points. 
• Buchholtz and the Eagles will be looking for their fourth consecutive National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) Division III Indoor Championship March 13-14. UWL has won seven indoor NCAA III titles (2009, 2013, 2014, 2017, 2023, 2024, 2025) under the direction of Coach Buchholtz. 
• Buchholtz is joined by Nick Kohl, Derek Stanley, Doug Geiwitz, Matt Gordy, Mark Guthrie, Tommy Knoche, Jim Nelson, Jakob Tordsen and Phil Esten on this year's coaching staff.
