La Crosse, Wis. 
– The University of Wisconsin-La Crosse Men's Track and Field team hosted the Mark Guthrie Legacy Invitational Saturday afternoon. 

THE BASICS
  • Results: No team scores were reported. 
  • Location: Hetzel Fieldhouse, La Crosse, Wis.
  • Up next: UWL will have members compete at both the UW-Whitewater Midwest Elite (February 13-14) and the University of Arkansas Tyson Invitational (February 14).

THE RESULTS

   
FIELD EVENTS
  • Pole Vault - UWL finished with the top five finishers in the pole vault as Josh Brunner won the even with a mark of 16-04 3/4. Tying for second place was Connor Boyle, Andrew Tumminaro, and Gaven Lange with a result of 16-02 3/4. Also finishing in the top five was Alex Wagner (5th) with a mark of 15-0. 
  • Long Jump - Sebastian Jefferson led four Eagles in the top five as he won with a jump of 23-0 1/2 while Carter Pearson finished second (22-10 1/2). In fourth place was Gavin Sargeant with a mark of 22-3 3/4 while Triton Schmidt (22-1 1/2) was fifth. 
  • Triple Jump - With a jump of 49-1 1/2, Pearson won the triple jump while Sargeant finished second (47-7 1/4). Gabe Olsen also finished in the top five with his fifth place finish with a mark of 44-8 1/4. 
  • High Jump - Mitchell Eldredge won the the high jump with a top jump of 6-7. 
  • Shot Put - UWL took home finishes 2-4 in the shot put as Ben Youngworth finished second (55-02) while Jake Gardner (54-6 1/2) was third and Spencer Prats (52-11 1/2) fourth. 
  • Weight Throw - Anthony Staryszak was the Eagles top finisher in the weight throw as he had top mark of 60-5.

    TRACK EVENTS 
  • 60-meter dash - Jack Cieciwa (6.84) finished fourth while Owen Preimesberger was fifth (6.92). 
  • 200-meter dash- Landon Gallun led three Eagles in the top five in the 200-meter run as he finished third overall (22.01). Right behind Gallun was Cieciwa (22.02) followed by Evan Maurud in fifth (22.11). 
  • 400-meter dash - Collin Conzemius would break the meet record with a time of 47.59 to win the 400-meter run. Also finishing in the top five for the Eagles was Chase Doornink in fifth (48.39). 
  • 800-meter run - Another meet record would fall along with a Hetzel Fieldhouse facility record as Tyler Heiman won the 800-meter run with a time of 1:52.42. 
  • Mile - UWL would take home four of the top five spots in the mile as Nico Castellanos won the event in a time of 4:13.39. In second place was Chase Altergott (4:15.43) followed by Parker Heintz (4:17.82) in third place and Ethan Eilertson (4:21.57) in fifth place. 
  • 3000-meter - Joey Sullivan would pace four Eagles in the top five spots as he won the 3000-meter run with a time of 8:08.69. Aidan Matthai finished second (8:11.10) while Jayden Zywicki (8:13.01) was fourth and Aidan Mannin (8:19.34) in fifth. 
  • 4x400 relay -The relay team of Conzemius, Doornink, Andrew Hackbarth and Devin Williams would run a meet and facility record time of 3:13.10 to win the 4x400 relay.
