Men's Track and Field Competes At Mankato And UW-Sout

La Crosse, Wis. - Members of the University of Wisconsin-La Crosse men's track and field team competed at the Mark Schuck Open & Multi hosted by Minnesota State Mankato and the Warren Bowlus Open & Multis hosted by UW-Stout on Friday and Saturday.

  • Results: No team scores were compiled at either the Mark Schuck Open & Multi hosted by Minnesota State Mankato (Results) or the Warren Bowlus Open & Multis hosted by UW-Stout (Results).

  • Up next: UWL will be back in action next on Saturday, February 7 when they host the Mark Guthrie Invitational in the Hetzel Fieldhouse. Competition is scheduled to start at 1 p.m.

FIELD EVENTS
  • High Jump - With a jump of 6-4 3/4, Mitchell Eldredge finished second in the high jump at UW-Stout. 
  • Pole Vault - UWL took home four of the top five spots in the pole vault at Minnesota State Mankato. Andrew Tumminaro was the top Eagle finisher as he finished second with a mark of 15-8 1/2. Connor Boyle finished third (15-8 1/2) followed by Gaven Lange in fourth (15-8 1/2) and Caleb Moore in fifth (15-2 3/4). 
  • Long Jump - Sebastian Jefferson led three Eagles in the top five of the long jump at UW-Stout as he won the event with a jump of 22-8 1/2. In fourth place was Triton Schmidt with a mark of 21-7 1/2 while Eldredge was fifth (21-4. 
  • Triple Jump - Mikiah Hopf finished fifth in the triple jump with a mark of 44-3 1/4. 
  • Shot Put - Ben Youngworth led three Eagles in the top five of the shot put at UW-Stout with his third place finish (54-4 1/2). Finishing right behind Youngworth in fourth place was Jake Gardner (54-3 3/4) while Spencer Prats was fifth (53-2 3/4). 
  • Weight Throw - Logan Powers was the Eagles top finisher in the weight throw as he finished fourth with a throw of 60-11 1/4. In fifth place was Anthony Staryszak with a throw of 59-6 3/4. 
  • Heptathlon - Three Eagles finished in the top five in the heptathlon at Minnesota State Mankato on Friday/Saturday. With 4,032 points, Nolan Seaberg finished third overall followed by Bryant Yanke in fourth (4,031 points) and Trent Backeberg in fifth (3,961 points). 

    TRACK EVENTS 
  • 60-meter hurdles - At Minnesota State Mankato, Luke Schroeder finished fifth in the 60-meter hurdles with a time of 8.02.
  • 200-meter - Evan Maurud won the 200-meter dash at UW-Stout with a time of 22.28.
