St. Peter, Minn. - The University of Wisconsin-La Crosse men's tennis team completed action at the Intercollegiate Tennis Association (ITA) Midwest Invitational and Midwest Open Sunday. No team scores were recorded.

In ITA Singles, Ty Schneider went 2-1 in the tournament while Luke Hinchliffe finished 0-1. Schneider defeated Payton Adkisson of UW-Whitewater in the first round (by withdraw) and Diego Silva of Carthage College (Wis.) in the second round (1-6, 6-2, 10-4). He lost to Josh Christensen of Gustavus Adolphus College (Minn.) in the third round (6-4, 6-2).

Schneider/Jack Hehli lost their only doubles match.

In the Midwest Singles, Brady Horstmann placed second in B singles flight with a 4-1 record. After a first round bye, he defeated Travis Subbert of Central College (Iowa) in the second round. Horstmann beat Joe Li of Gustavus Adolphus College (Minn.) in the third round (3-6, 6-4, 10-6) and Alex Draeger of St. John's University (Minn.) in the quarterfinals (6-1, 6-1). He defeated Caden Branum of Grinnell College (Iowa) in the semifinals (6-3, 6-3) before losing to Daniel Rohlman of Coe College (Iowa) in the title match (6-1, 7-6).

Hehli advanced to the final in the Consolation Draw #2. He defeated Daniel Jaworski of Carthage (Wis.) in the first round (6-3, 6-2) before falling to Clark Rue of MSOE (Wis.) in the second round (6-0, 6-2). He came back with three wins in the consolation bracket. Hehli defeated Kyle Deyo of Bethany Lutheran College (Minn.) in the first consolation match (8-2), Avery Ellison of UW-Eau Claire on the second round (8-2) and Watson Sheard of Bethel University (Minn.) in the semifinals (8-5). He withdrew in the title match to Daniel Moeller of UW-Whitewater.

Nikko Vilwock went 0-1 in the Midwest B Singles Flight.

The Eagles' Alex Aranda went 2-1 in the Midwest B Singles. He started with a win over Fred Diehl of UW-Stevens Point (6-3, 7-6) in the first round and Alex Daignault of College of St. Scholastica (Minn.) (6-4, 6-1) in the second round. Aranda lost to Gerardo Ramirez Mainou of Luther College (Iowa) in the third round (6-4, 6-1).

In the Midwest C Singles Flight, Joe O'Flaherty went 3-1 while Kenny Schmiesing finished 1-2. Isaac Dhyanchand and Ben Schneider both went 0-1 in singles. O'Flaherty defeated Jake Schultz of St. Olaf College (Minn.) in the first round (6-4, 6-3) and Peyton Sheffert of UW-Eau Claire in the second round (6-2, 7-5). He earned a third-round victory over Crown College's (Minn.) David Comings in the quarterfinals (6-2, 6-0).

In the Midwest B Doubles Flight, Vilwock/Aranda finished 2-1 while Horstmann/Hinchcliffe were 1-1. O'Flaherty/Schmiesing went 0-1 and Dhyanchand/Ben Schneider went 0-2.
