2026-27 Schedule
La Crosse, Wis. – The University of Wisconsin-La Crosse has announced its 2026-27 men's tennis schedule. The Eagles open their season at the UW-Eau Claire Invitational on Saturday, September 12.
UWL hosts four duals this year, including the home opener versus Carroll University (Wis.) on September 20 at Green Island Tennis Park. The Eagles open Wisconsin Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (WIAC) play at UW-Eau Claire on Saturday, April 3.
The conference tournament is set for Friday-Saturday, May 7-8.
The Eagles compete in the Intercollegiate Tennis Association (ITA) Midwest Regional on Friday-Sunday, October 2-4.
UWL finished 14-6 in 2025-26, including 2-1 in the WIAC.
UWL will host four matches at Green Island Tennis Park.
Eight letter winners return, including junior
Tyler Schneider of
Whitefish Bay (H.S.) and sophomore
Aiden Meixl of
Appleton (Kimberly) who both earned 2026 All-WIAC West Division First Team Singles accolades. Meixl was also named the WIAC West Division Newcomer of the Year.
Schneider was selected the 2025 WIAC West Division Newcomer of the Year while earning All-WIAC West Division First Team Singles honors.
Bill Hehli starts his 32nd season as UWL's head coach in 2026-27. Inducted into the UWL Wall of Fame in 2017, Hehli is 388-237 (.621) as the Eagles' men's head coach. He is 477-148 (.763) as UWL's women's head coach and has compiled an overall record of 865-385 (.691).
Hehli was named the 2025-26 ITA/Dunlop NCAA Division III Women's Coach of the Year as well as the Central Region Coach of the Year. Voted the 2025 WIAC Women's Coach of the Year, Hehli is the all-time leader in wins in WIAC women's history. He has led UWL to four (2003, 2005, 2006, 2025) women's conference titles.
