Dear UWL Tennis Alumni,
It’s been 30 years since I was a freshman at UWL in 1990. Although that makes me feel old, it still brings back great memories of the time I had here as a student-athlete, and the relationships that were built that will last forever. All of you have your own stories, memories, and relationships from your time at UWL, many of which have helped shape your lives.
I tell your stories all the time to our current players and recruits. Sure, I talk about your accomplishments on the court, as some of you had stellar playing careers. But, mostly I talk about the great leaders and teammates you were, about the great families you came from as college kids, and that you are now raising as adults. I talk about how you’ve advanced in the workplace, and the many paths you’ve taken to success. I like to talk about you, because I’m so proud of all you have done. 
We’ve tried to build the culture of UWL tennis as a family you can count on to help you excel in tennis, in the classroom, and in your life. As many of you know, our tennis family has had its share of challenges over the years. Overcoming our obstacles has made us stronger and more united as a family, and we’ve stepped up time after time to give our current student-athletes the same great experience that you once had.
This year has brought us challenges that have never been seen before, and the future is anything but clear. No matter what, we will press on to continue to make UWL tennis the best it can be. Your help is the most critical component to our future success, so I’m hoping you will continue to support us as you have in the past.
Once the pandemic is over, I hope to be able to have you all back on campus to celebrate you!
