Hammond, Wis. - The University of Wisconsin-La Crosse golf team wrapped up its 2023-24 season with a second-place finish at the UW-Stout Invitational Saturday at Pheasant Hills Golf Course. The Eagles finished with a team score of 317 (+29) while UW-Stout won the team title at 315 (+27).
UWL's "B" team was sixth at 337 (+49). A total of eight teams competed.
The Eagles had four golfers finish in the top-10, including
Nora Cerroni placing second with a round of 74 (+2).
Allison Balduzzi was fourth at 78 (+6) while
Grace Ellison and
Erin Rosencrantz tied for seventh at 81 (+9).
Jenna Wiebke ted for 10th after a 82 (+10).
UWL's
Sophie Denure and
Haley Thoeny tied for 21st at 84 (+12) with
Claire Kelbel and
Allie McBryde tied for 26th at 87 (+15).
Lauren Ambrookian tied for 38th at 92 (+20).
UW-Stout's Abbey Filipiak took medalist honors with a round of 73 (+1).
A total of 44 runners completed the round.
