Onalaska, Wis. - With the top four finishers after round one and seven of the top eight, the University of Wisconsin-La Crosse golf teams sit in first and second place after 18 holes of the UWL Fall Invitational Saturday afternoon at The Golf Club at Cedar Creek.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- As a team, UWL is in first place after round 1 of the seven schools in the six-school, eight-team tournament with a day one total of 314. Allison Balduzzi led the Eagles as she shot a 74 and is a top the leaderboard.
- Nora Cerroni and Sophie Denure are five strokes (79) back Balduzzi tied for second place.
- Grace Ellison is tied for sixth place as she shot an 82 while Andrea Schleeper is in eighth with an 83.
- UWL's B-team was led by Erin Rosencrantz who is tied for second with a 79 while Lauren Ambrookian is tied for eighth with an 83.
- Kiya Bronston is one stroke back (84) and tied for 12th place.
- Tied for 14th place was Haley Toeney who shot an 85 while Jenna Wiebke shot a 91 and is tied for 33rd.
- Playing as individuals for the Eagles was Abby DeMoe (T-8th, 83) and Allie McBryde (T-12th, 84).
