Onalaska, Wis. - The University of Wisconsin-La Crosse golf team won its own UWL Spring Invitational Sunday afternoon at The Golf Club at Cedar Creek. UWL's "A" team finished with score of 330 while Viterbo (Wis.) "A" squad was second with a round of total of 345.
UWL's "B" team was third (351) with Luther College (Iowa) fourth (359) and Viterbo's "B" team fifth (437). Â
The Eagles'
Erin Rosencrantz and
Andrea Schleeper tied for second individually with rounds of 82. UWL's
Allison Balduzzi and
Sophie Denure tied for fourth (83) while
Kiya Bronston and
Jenna Wiebke tied for sixth (85).
Lauren Ambrookian and
Claire Kelbel tied for eighth (87).Â
Other UWL finishers included
Grace Ellison tied for 13th (89) while
Keila Kittelson placed 20th (94) and
Sydney Nelson 22nd (98).Â
Caylee Beyer of Viterbo (Wis.) took medalist honors with a round of 81. A total of 28 golfers completed the round on the par 71 course.
UWL completes its spring season Saturday, April 29 at the UW-Stout Spring Invitational Whitetail Golf Course in Colfax, Wisconsin. Action starts at 9 a.m.
