La Crosse, Wis. - The University of Wisconsin-La Crosse women's track team hosted the Mark Guthrie Legacy Invitational Saturday afternoon in The Fieldhouse. No team scores were recorded.Â
UWL won seven individual events on Saturday, including three in the field events and four on the track.Â
Skye Digman won the weight throw (59-0 1/4) while
Miah Keller won the triple jump (38-7) and
Ainsley Hansen the high jump (5-6 1/2).Â
Macie Todd finished second (5-6 1/2) in the high jump while
Alia Vanderhoef was fourth (5-2 1/2).
Ashley O'Connell was third in the pole vault, clearing a height of 11-8. Digman followed her weight throw performance with a third-place finish in the shot put (46-0) while
Hailie Kent finished fourth in the triple jump (37-5 1/4).Â
On the track,
Lauren Jarrett picked up a win in the 60-meter dash in a time of 7.70.
Emma Lawrence came in just behind Jarrett with a time of 7.76 followed by
Emily Dawidowich (7.78). In the 200-meter dash, Dawidowich finished second (25.20) while Jarrett was fourth (25.35).
Mara Schroeder won the 400-meter dash (59.00) followed by Eagles' teammates
Lilly Halvorson second (59.05) and Morgan Jennings fourth (59.56). Lawrence was also second in the 60-meter hurdles (8.51).Â

In the mile run,
Greta Koehler was UWL's top finisher as she placed fourth with a time of 5:19.51. In the 3,000-meter run, the Eagles had eight of the top-10 finishers including
Maddie Hannan with the winning time of 9:50.11. In second was
Maddy Vantassel (10:08.33) followed by
Julia Anderson (10:15.86) and
Katelyn Chadwick (10:16.86).Â
In the final race of the meet, UWL's 4x400 team finished first and third. The team of Lawrence,
Amber Johnson,
Izi Knoernschild and Halvoson finished first with a time of 3:56.04 while the team of
Grace Lundie,
Brooke McDowell,
Kaydee Johnson and Schroeder was third (4:01.90).Â
Guthrie was head men's track & field coach at UWL from 1988-2006, leading the Eagles to 22 NCAA Division III Championships. UWL captured 12 indoor and 10 outdoor titles, sweeping the championships in 10 different seasons. His peers in the U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA) named Guthrie the Division III National Coach of the Year eight times and regional coach of the year on 11 different occasions. Â
Under Guthrie's direction, UWL won 34 Wisconsin Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (WIAC) titles (16 indoor; 18 outdoor) as he was selected the league's coach of the year 16 times. He was named the WIAC Men's Track & Field All-Time Coach in conjunction with the conference's Centennial Celebration in 2012. Guthrie was inducted into the inaugural 30-member WIAC Hall of Fame Class in 2012.Â
He is a member of the UWL Wall of Fame and USTFCCCA Hall of Fame.Â
UWL returns to action Saturday, February 11 with the UW-Whitewater Midwest Elite.
