Azusa, Calif. – Members of the University of Wisconsin-La Crosse women's track & field team completed first day action Friday at the Azusa Pacific University (Calif.) Bryan Clay Invitational. No team scores were recorded.
In the open competition of the triple jump, the Eagles had three of the top-five finishers as
Maya Evans placed second (39-6 1/2),
Mackenzey Kronberg fourth (39-6) and
Samantha Barrett fifth (39-3 3/4).
UWL's
Ainsley Hansen finished 10th (5-4 1/2) in the high jump invitational port of the meet on Friday.
On the track, UWL had four sprinters in the 100-meter dash invitational.
Julie Yang and
Makenna Zak tied for 27th overall (11.99) while
Anika Reiland finished 45th (12.23) and
Anna Plautz 48th (12.26).
Alli Thomas was 76th (2:13.05) in the open 800-meter run.
