Rochester, Minn. - The University of Wisconsin-La Crosse women's and men's swimming & diving teams completed second day action at the Rochester Invitational Friday night at the Rochester-Olmstead County Recreation Center Natatorium.
On the women's side, UWL's 200 freestyle relay of
Emily Schoenbrodt,
Kayla Knaffla,
Libby Cleveland and
Kylee Sommer finished third (1:37.77) while
Jordy Hahlen,
Makenzie Wallace, Schoenbrodt and Sommer were fifth (4:00.97) in the 400 medley relay.
Individually,
Jordy Hahlen was second (57.34), Sommer fourth (57.90),
Autumn Seebach fifth (58.56) and
Kayla Knaffla 12th (1:00.07) in the 100 backstroke.
Abi Schauske finished seventh (4:47.60) and Wallace 13th (4:50.50) in the 400 I.M.
Grace Gilleran placed ninth (1:59.81),
Reilly Eiynck 14th (2:04.29), Seebach 15th (2:05.98) and
Amelia Olson 16th (2:07.54) in the 200 freestyle. In the 100 breaststroke,
Brooke Laube placed 10th (1:09.16) and
Emily Hauke 16th (1:11.32).
In Friday's diving competition,
Hannah Martini placed eighth (338.55 points).
In men's action Friday, the Eagles had a pair of fourth-place relays.
Jacob Ketterling,
Tyler Hartmann,
Jesse Hammes and
Blake Nelson were fourth (1:22.92) in the 200 freestyle relay while Ketterling,
Ben Collins,
Jonah Elfers and
Will Quackenbush finished fourth (3:25.95) in the 400 medley relay.
Ketterling was second (51.22) in the 100 backstroke with Hammes 12th (53.90),
Sean Gillett 14th (55.19) and Elfers 16th (1:06.55). Quackenbush finished eighth (1:50.41) and Conner Cleveland 13th (1:46.45) in the 200 freestyle.
Caleb Jondle finished ninth (4:17.87) with
Davin Evans 16th (4:53.91) in the 400 I.M. while Collins finished 11th (58.13), Hartmann 14th (59.33) and
Jonathan Pella 15th (59.69) in the 100 breaststroke.
Action concludes Saturday, December 2 with preliminaries at 9 a.m.
