Hello UWL Eagle Swimming & Diving Alumnus,

Since 1967, UWL has sponsored a men’s swimming & diving team and less than a decade later in 1975, a women’s program was started here at La Crosse. Mitchell Hall Pool, now Richard L. Pein Natatorium dedicated in 2014, has been the place where swimmers and divers alike have come to test their limits as a student athlete. This pool has been a sacred place to make friendships, compete against conference foes, and share the love for a sport they grew up with. Team Photo

The UWL pool is essentially the same as you might remember it. The pool is still fast whether it be for racing a teammate or racing during a home competition. The pool is brighter now; this past Fall, new LED lights were installed giving Pein Natatorium a vibrant look. You are welcome back any time to check it out!

Though I am new to the program, I want to ensure even in the midst of a pandemic and uncertainty of the college athletic seasons that the current UWL Swimming & Diving Teams will continue the rich traditions of excellence in the pool, in school, and in life. There is no doubt this is a difficult time for everyone, however; there has never been a better time to show your support for the UWL Swimming & Diving Teams.
