La Crosse, Wis. - Four members of the University of Wisconsin-La Crosse men's swimming & diving team have been named to the 2024-25 National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) Division III Academic All-District® Team, selected by the College Sports Communicators (CSC), the organization announced.

Tyler Hartmann of
Wales (Kettle Moraine) picked up the academic accolades.
Cleveland maintains a 3.87 cumulative grade point average while majoring in exercise sport science (pre-professional). He was selected to the 2023-24 CSC Academic All-District Team and is a three-year member of the Wisconsin Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (WIAC) Scholastic Honor Roll.
Selected the 2024-25 WIAC Max Sparger Scholar-Athlete, Cleveland was a member of UWL's fourth-place 800 freestyle relay at this year's league championships. He placed 11th in the 200 freestyle. Cleveland also competed in the 50 and 100 freestyle.
Elfers, an exercise sport science major with a 3.56 grade point average, has been on the WIAC Scholastic Honor Roll the last two seasons. He earned All-WIAC First Team honors this year as a member of the first-place 200 medley relay. Elfers was also on the second-place 400 medley relay to be named all-conference second team. UWL set school records in the 200 (1:30.36) and 400 (3:21.25) medley relays.
He was 2025 All-WIAC Second Team in the 100 butterfly with a second-place finish. Elfers was also seventh in the 200 butterfly and 11th in the 200 backstroke.
A biochemistry major with a 4.00 grade point average, Evans was on the 2023-24 WIAC Scholastic Honor Roll. He earned All-WIAC Second Team recognition this year after finishing second in the 400 I.M. Evans was also fifth in the 500 freestyle and eighth in the 200 breaststroke. He was also on the fourth-place 800 freestyle relay.
Hartmann is a physics major with a 3.79 grade point average. He was a member of last year's WIAC Scholastic Honor Roll. At this season's WIAC Championships, Hartmann joined Elfers on the first-place 200 medley relay setting a school record. He was also on UWL's winning 200 and 400 freestyle relay at the league championships. Individually, Hartmann placed sixth in the 100 and 200 breaststroke at the WIAC Championships.
The 2024-25 Academic All-District® Men's Swimming & Diving Team, selected by College Sports Communicators, recognize the nation's top student-athletes for their combined performances in the pool and in the classroom. The CSC Academic All-America® program separately recognizes swimming & diving honorees in four divisions — NCAA Division I, NCAA Division II, NCAA Division III and NAIA.
Academic All-District® honorees are considered for advancement to the CSC Academic All-America® ballot. First-, second- and third-team Academic All-America® honorees will be announced April 23, 2025.
The Division II and III CSC Academic All-America® programs are partially financially supported by the NCAA Division II and III national governance structures to assist CSC with handling the awards fulfillment aspects for the 2024-25 Divisions II and III Academic All-America® programs. The NAIA CSC Academic All-America® program is partially financially supported through the NAIA governance structure.
