Reedsburg, Wis. - The University of Wisconsin-La Crosse golf team is tied for second place after two rounds of the Wisconsin Intercollegiate Athletic Conference Championships (presented by Culvers) Saturday afternoon at Reedsburg Country Club.

What is at stake: The team winner receives an automatic bid to the National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) Division III Championships scheduled for May 21-24, 2024 at Keene Trace Golf Club in Nicholasville, Ky. The national event will be hosted by Transylvania Universtiy (Ky.).
HOW IT HAPPENED
- As a team, the Eagles shot a 332 in round one and 329 in round two for a team score of 661 and are tied with UW-Stout. The Eagles and Blue Devils are 17 strokes behind tournament leader UW-Whitewater (334, 310 - 644). UW-Platteville (346, 342 - 688) is fourth while UW-Stevens Point (350, 352 - 702) is fifth. UW-Oshkosh (355, 357 - 712) and UW-Eau Claire (356, 356 - 712) are tied for sixth and UW-River Falls (360, 376 - 736) eighth.
- Senior Andrea Schleeper continues to lead the Eagles as she shot an 80 in each of the first two rounds. Schleeper is tied for third place, eight strokes back of tournament leader Abbey Filipiak (152) (UW-Stout).
- After shooting an 82 in round one, Allison Balduzzi shot an 83 (165) and is in tenth place.
- Nora Cerroni (85, 85), Sophie Denure (89, 81) and Grace Ellison (85, 85) are all tied for 13th with a two round score of 170.
- Playing as an individual from the Eagles was Haley Thoeny (81, 83 - 164, ninth), Jenna Wiebke (90, 84 - 174, T-26th), Allie McBryde (92, 82 - 174, T-26th), Claire Kelbel (84, 91 - 175 T-29th), Erin Rosencrantz (85, 91 - 176, T-31st) and Lauren Ambrookian (88, 92 - 180 T-41st).
