Onalaska, Wis. - The University of Wisconsin-La Crosse golf team captured its second invitational title in two days winning the Viterbo University (Wis.) Invitational Sunday afternoon at The La Crosse Country Club. The Eagles finished with a team score of 340 while UW-Platteville was second at 342 and UW-River Falls third with 349.
Viterbo (Wis.) placed fourth (354) with UW-Eau Claire fifth (355), UW-Stevens Point sixth (356) and Coe College (Iowa) seventh (362). UWL's "B" team placed eighth (366) with Viterbo's (Wis.) "B" team ninth (410) and Loras College (Iowa) 10th (433).

The Eagles won the UWL Invitational at The Golf Club at Cedar Creek on Saturday in Onalaska.
Three golfers finished in the top-10 on Sunday for UWL.
Abby DeMoe tied for second overall with a round of 80 (+8) while
Allison Balduzzi tied for fifth after a 82 (+10) and
Andrea Schleeper tied for eighth with a round of 85 (+13).
Grace Ellison tied for 11th (86, +14) with
Maija Tanberg tied for 14th (87, +15) and
Erin Rosencrantz tied for 17th (89, +17). The Eagles'
Sophie Denure and
Molly Larsen tied for 21st (90, +18) with
Claire Kelbel tied for 30th (93, +21) and
Lauren Ambrookian tied for 33rd (94, +22).
UWL's
Sydney Nelson tied for 44th (98, +26) and
Keila Kittelson was 49th (101, +29).
Sydney Hufnagle of UW-River Falls took the medalist honors with a round of 78 (+6). A total of 59 golfers completed the round.
UWL returns to action Saturday, October 1 at the UW-Stevens Point Invitational at Sentry World Golf Course starting at 1 p.m.
