Onalaska, Wis. - The University of Wisconsin-La Crosse golf team captured its own UWL Invitational Saturday afternoon at The Golf Club at Cedar Creek. The Eagles finished with a team score of 326. UW-Platteville placed second with a total of 333.
UWL is receiving votes on this week's Mizuno Women's Golf Coaches Association (WGCA) Coaches Poll.
UWL's "B" team was third (342) with UW-River Falls fourth (348). UW-Eau Claire and UW-Stevens Point tied for fifth (355). Coe College (Iowa) was seventh (360) with Viterbo University (Wis.) eighth (361). Viterbo (Wis.) B squad was ninth (389) while Loras College (Iowa) was 10th (403) and UW-Superior 11th (416).

Andrea Schleeper captured the medalist honors on Saturday, carding a round of 75 (+4). Lexi Meade of UW-Eau Claire was second with a round of 76 (+5).

Grace Ellison finished 10th (85).

UWL returns to action Sunday, September 25 at the Viterbo (Wis.) Invitational at 11 a.m. at the La Crosse Country Club.
