Stevens Point, Wis. - The University of Wisconsin-La Crosse golf team captured its third straight team title after winning the UW-Stevens Point Mad Dawg Invitational Sunday at SentryWorld Golf Course. The Eagles finished with a total of 685 (349-336). UW-Platteville was second at 716 (354-362) and UW-Stevens Point third at 718 (355-363).
UW-Oshkosh finished fourth with a team score of 729 (366-363), UW-River Falls fifth at 743 (381-362) and UW-Stevens Point "B" sixhth at 931 (472-459).

Molly Larsen finished second with a two day total of 163 (80-83). UWL's
Maija Tanberg was fifth with a score of 171 (88-83) while
Andrea Schleeper (91-86) and
Grace Ellison (93-84) tied for sixth with a score of 177.
Allison Balduzzi finished 16th overall with a two day total of 187 (90-97) and
Lauren Ambrookian was 22nd with a 191 (98-93).
Markie Ash of UW-Platteville took medalist honors by one shot over Larsen, finishing with a score of 162 (80-82).
UWL returns to action Friday, October 7 when it travels to Reedsburg, Wisconsin to play in the Wisconsin Intercollegiate Athletic Conference Championships. The tournament will take place at the Reedsburg Country Club with Friday's opening round set to start at 12:30 p.m. The conference championships continues Saturday-Sunday, October 8-9 with 10 a.m. starts both days.
