Stevens Point, Wis. - The University of Wisconsin-La Crosse golf team leads after the first round of the UW-Stevens Point Mad Dawg Invitational Saturday at SentryWorld Golf Course. The Eagles finished with a total of 349 on Saturday. UW-Platteville is second (354) and UW-Stevens Point third (355).
UW-Oshkosh is fourth (366), UW-River Falls fifth (381) and UW-Stevens Point "B" sixth (472).
The Eagles'
Molly Larsen is tied for the individual lead with a round of 80 on Saturday. UWL's
Maija Tanberg is tied for fourth (88) with Allison Balduzii tied for eighth (90).
Andrea Schleeper is tied for 11th (91),
Grace Ellison tied for 13th (93) and
Lauren Ambrookian tied for 23rd (98).
Larsen is tied for first with UW-Platteville's Markie Ash. A total of 36 golfers completed the opening round.
UWL returns to action Sunday, October 2 with the second and final round of the UW-Stevens Point Mad Dawg Invitational starting at 8 a.m.
