Charlton Advances to Final at NCAA Championships

Columbus, Ohio - The University of Wisconsin-La Crosse women's track & field squad completed second day action at the National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) Division III Championships Friday night at Selby Field & George Gauthier Track.  The Eagles' Kailey Charlton advanced to Saturday's 100-meter dash final with a qualifying time of 12.09.

UW-L's Hannah Mueller (12.44) and Caitlin Wippermann (12.62) failed to advance to Saturday's final in the 100-meter dash. 

Leeanne Nowicki placed 21st in the heptathlon Friday with 4,206 points.

UW-L has not scored a point after the first two days of competition.  UW-Oshkosh leads with 48.0 points while Williams College (Mass.) is second with 26.0.  Illinois College is in third-place with 16.0 with Wartburg College (Iowa) is fourth with 15.0.  Gustavus Adolphus College (Minn.) and Ithaca College (N.Y.) are tied for fifth with 14.0.

Action concludes Saturday.
