UW-L Qualifier Results
La Crosse, Wis. - The University of Wisconsin-La Crosse women's track & field squad hosted the National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) Qualifier Thursday night at Veterans Memorial Field Sports Complex. No team scores were recorded.
UW-L's 4x400-meter relay of
Caitlin Wippermann,
Rebecca Scheuermann,
Jenna Halvorson and
Laurel Beck automatically qualified for the NCAA Division III Championships with a third-place finish and time of 3:49.47.
The Eagles' 4x100-meter relay of
Kailey Charlton, Wippermann,
Maggie May and Beck was also third Thursday with a provisional qualifying time of 47.38.
Charlton
captured the long jump (18-1) Thursday night while
Hannah Mueller was sixth (17-4).
In other field event results, May
placed eighth in the triple jump (35-10) while
Christy Moses was ninth (10-10 3/4) in the pole vault.
Megan Marfilius and
Amy Jo Garinger tied for 10th in the high jump (5-1 3/4).
Mueller was fifth in the 100-meter dash (12.79) while May finished eighth in the 100-meter hurdles (15.53).
UW-L returns to action Thursday, May 26 at the NCAA Division III Championships in Delaware, Ohio.
