Winona, Minn. - The University of Wisconsin-La Crosse women's track & field squad competed at the St. Mary's University Invitational Saturday, April 30. No team scores were recorded. The Eagles'
Hannah Mueller captured the 100-meter dash (12.62).
Mueller was also on UW-L's second-place 4x100-meter relay (50.98) along with
Sheila Opelt,
Kayla Ashland and
Kali Kramolis.
Other top finishes on the track included
Kelsey Boyle second (18:37.03) and
Ellen Kumm fifth (18:55.62) in the 5,000-meter run while
Rachel Schroeder placed third in the 3,000-meter steeplechase (11:35.99).
Annalise Falk-Peterson was third in the 400-meter dash (1:02.28) while
Courtney Rucker finished fifth in the 1,500-meter run (5:03.99).
In the 100-meter hurdles,
Leeanne Nowicki placed third (15.63) while Opelt was fourth (15.73) and Kramolis fifth (15.94).
The Eagles' 4x400-meter relay of
Laura Como, Falk-Peterson,
Jessica Acker and
Megan Zais was fifth (4:18.92).
In the field events,
Katlin Genthe tied for second on the pole vault (11-2 1/4) Saturday while
Kayla Ashland finished third (5-3 1/4) and
Megan Marfilius tied for fourth (5-1 1/4) in the high jump.
Other top field event finishers included Opelt fourth in the long jump (16-8) and
Megan Nitka fourth in the javelin (99-0).
UW-L returns to action Friday, May 6 at the WIAC Championships at UW-Platteville.
