La Crosse, Wis. - The University of Wisconsin-La Crosse lacrosse team improved to 9-4 overall and 3-2 in the Wisconsin Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (WIAC) with a 22-3 victory over Augsburg University (Minn.) Wednesday night at Veterans Memorial Field.
The Auggies drop to 0-9 overall and 0-5 in the WIAC.
Megan Maloney had three goals and three assists.
UWL is now 6-0 all-time versus Augsburg (Minn.).
The Eagles scored the first eight goals of the game on Wednesday.
Evie Brilz started the scoring at 14:10 before
Anna Millard extended the lead to 2-0 with a man-up goal with 13:50 remaining off
Emily Wrobbel's assist. After
Lydia Spencer made it 3-0, Millard scored on
Ava Schiltz' assist for a 4-0 advantage.Â
Tori Katzenmeyer's goal with 12:19 left on
Megan Maloney's assist and Wrobbel's goal made it 6-0. Schiltz and Wrobbel added goals in the first quarter with Maloney registering assists on both goals.
After Leila Klym scored a man-up goal with 4:53 remaining for Augsburg (Minn.) to make it 8-1, Maloney notched two straight goals and Schiltz finished the first quarter scoring with a goal as UWL took an 11-1 lead. Schiltz had one assist and Wrobbel two in the final 4:30 of the quarter.
Maloney, Millard, Wrobbel and Katzenmeyer scored in the second quarter for UWL while Isabella Kohout scored for Augsburg (Minn.) as the Eagles took a 15-2 halftime lead.
UWL scored all five of the game's goals in the third quarter with
Jordyn Larue,
Katie Klicker,
Adison Brown,
Jadyn Constine and
Lucy Karcher registering goals.
Paige Myers and
Maggie Sadowski scored in the fourth quarter.
The 22 goals are tied for eighth in single-game school history. UWL scored a school record 25 goals against Augsburg (Minn.) on March 31, 2023 and April 15, 2022. UWL finished with 50 shots, including 35 on goal. The 50 shots are tied for third in single-game school history.Â

Ava Schiltz finished with two goals
and four assists.
Fourteen players scored a goal for the Eagles with Wrobbel, Maloney and Millard each finishing with three. Schiltz and Katzenmeyer scored twice. Wrobbel and Schiltz each had four assists with Maloney finishing with three. Constine recorded two assists.
The four assists by Wrobbel and Schiltz are tied for third in single-game school history. UWL finished 13 assists, tied for second in single-game school history.Â
Angie Olla had seven draw controls while Wrobbel finished with five ground balls.
Stefania Rossi earned the win, playing the first half, while
Lucretia Morgan played the second half.
Augsburg (Minn.) totaled five shots with three on goal. Three different players scored for the Auggies. Emma Ryan led the team with six ground balls.
Wendy Bravo took the loss, finishing with four saves in 12:55. Nicole Schuster registered 14 saves while playing 47:05.
UWL returns to action Saturday, April 18 hosting The College of Saint Benedict (Minn.) at 12 p.m.
