Schiltz Selected to IWLCA Senior All-Star Game; Holds Four Career School Records

 University of Wisconsin-La Crosse senior midfielder Ava Schiltz of Prior Lake, Minn. (H.S.) has been selected to the 2026 Intercollegiate Women's Lacrosse Coaches Association (IWLCA) Senior All-Star Team, the organization announced Wednesday.

Schiltz is one of 43 players from National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) Division III to be named to the Senior All-Star Team. The players have been divided into two teams with Schiltz being a member of the Blue All-Stars. She is the lone representative from the Wisconsin Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (WIAC) to be selected.

The NCAA Division I, II and III Senior All-Star Games will be held on Tierney Field at USA Lacrosse Headquarters in Sparks, Maryland, on Saturday, May 30. The Division III game will be played at 9 a.m. (Central) followed by the Division I contest at 11:30 a.m. (Central) with the Division II game set for 2 p.m. (Central). Admission is free for all three games.

Schiltz earned her first career IWLCA All-Region honor on May 19 after being voted to the All-West Region Second Team.

Named the 2026 WIAC Midfielder of the Year, Schiltz earned her third career all-conference first team selection this season. She is the only player in program history to receive All-WIAC First Team honors three consecutive years. 

A two-year team captain, Schiltz owns the program record for goals in a season with 55 during the 2025 campaign. She is the Eagles' career leader in goals (223), assists (62), points (285) and shots (461). Schiltz ranks second in career draw controls (191), third in caused turnovers (46) and sixth in ground balls (84). She started all 70 games in her four-year UWL career.   

Schiltz started all 18 games this year, leading UWL in assists (17), points (68), shots on goal (83) and game-winning goals (3). She tied for the team lead in goals (51) and shots (107) while finishing second in draw controls (60). 

Recording multiple goals in 14 of 18 games this year, Schiltz had at least one goal in all 18 contests with a season-high six versus UW-Stout. She had a season-high seven points against UW-Stout and Hamline University (Minn.).

Schiltz was named the 2026 WIAC Judy Kruckman Scholar-Athlete, majoring in exercise sport science and minoring in nutrition with a 3.70 grade point average. She is a three-time member of the WIAC Scholastic Honor Roll and been recognized on UWL's Dean's List six semesters. 

UWL finished 13-5 overall and 6-2 in the WIAC this season under second-year head coach Nick Anagnostis. The Eagles' 13 victories set a single-season school record, breaking the record of 12 set in 2023 (12-5) and 2024 (12-6).
