UW-La Crosse 6, UW-Superior 1

Superior, Wis. - The University of Wisconsin-La Crosse men's tennis team improved to 13-5 with a 6-1 victory over UW-Superior Saturday at the Dr. Lydia C. Thering Fieldhouse.

The Yellowjackets drop to 10-7.

UWL earned the team point in doubles, taking two of three matches. Kyle Hehli/Aiden Meixl defeated Igor Guetten Chaves/Mateo Abarca Pino at No. 2 (6-4) while Alex Aranda/Tyler Schneider defeated Keanu Lin/Blake Haugen at No. 3 (6-4).

The Eagles secured the dual victory with wins in five of the six singles matches. Schneider (No. 1), Meixl (No. 2), Hehli (No. 3), Cole Contardi (No. 5) and Brady Horstmann (No. 6) earned wins.

UWL returns to action Sunday, April 12 at The College of St. Scholastica (Minn.) at 10 a.m.
