St. Peter, Minn. - The University of Wisconsin-La Crosse men's tennis team completed action at the Intercollegiate Tennis Association (ITA) Regional and Midwest Open Saturday at Gustavus Adolphus College (Minn.). No team scores were recorded.

ITA MIDWEST REGIONAL – SINGLES PLAY:
* Max Daigle went 2-2, opening with a victory over Abhi Nagar of Loras College, (Iowa) (6-4, 6-0) before losing to Juan Hernandez of Luther College, Iowa (6-0, 6-0). He then went 1-1 in the Consolation Singles Draw F, earning a win over Paul Havemier of Saint Mary's University, Minn. (8-0) before dropping his match to Shuya Machida of Wartburg College, Iowa (2-1, retired).
* Tyler Schneider went 1-1, earning a victory over Danylo Ripeckyj of UW-Eau Claire (2-6, 6-3, 10-6), but lost to Daniel Moeller of UW-Whitewater (5-7, 6-3, 12-10).
* Aiden Meixl also finished 1-1, opening with a win over Daniel Rohlman of Coe College, Iowa (3-6, 6-2, 10-7). He lost to Quinn Monson of Gustavus Adolphus, Minn. (6-3, 6-2).
* Kyle Hehli lost to Gustavo Pirri of Luther, Iowa (6-4, 6-2) in his opening match.

ITA MIDWEST REGIONAL – DOUBLES PLAY:
* Hehli/Meixl finished 2-1 in the tournament, opening with a win over Sam Murillo/Timothy Gitomirski of UW-Eau Claire (8-4). The duo defeated Cyriac Cayuela/Pedro Okino of Carthage College, Wis. (8-3) before being eliminated with a loss to Maxi Gutbezahl/Alexander Doane of Grinnell College, Iowa (8-4).
* Schneider/Alex Aranda went 1-1. The duo defeated Jake Althaus/Gennar Dimuro of Luther, Iowa (8-3), but lost to Pablo Rincon/Danylo Ripckyj of UW-Eau Claire (8-7).

MIDWEST OPEN – SINGLES PLAY:
* Beck Sissel won the C Singles Draw with a 4-0 record. He opened with a victory over Noah Bender of Concordia College Moorhead, Minn. (6-0, 6-0) and defeated Mason Ramirez of St. Olaf College, Minn. (6-4, 4-6, 10-5) in the quarterfinals. Sissel defeated Ryan Bitz of Concordia Moorhead, Minn. (6-1, 5-7, 10-8) in the semifinals and took the title with a victory over Horia Popa of Loras, Iowa (6-1, 6-3).
* Aranda finished 2-1 in the B Singles Draw, earning a win over Ayden Knuth of UW-Stevens Point (6-3, 6-2) and Pedro Mendes of MSOE, Wis. (6-2, 6-4) before losing to Kaan McDonald of Grinnell, Iowa (6-2, 4-6, 10-8).
* Thomas Herzog went 0-2, losing to Sam Majerus of the University of Northwestern, Minn. (6-3, 7-5) in the C Singles Championship and to Micah Gufstason of Bethel University, Minn. (8-3) in the Consolation Singles Draw G.
* Nathan Rose finished 1-2 in the tournament, losing to Eric Yang of Macalester College, Minn. (6-2, 6-3) in the D Singles Championship. He went 1-1 in the Consolation Singles Draw H, earning a win over Lukas Clauson of St. Olaf, Minn. (8-2) before falling to Cole Palese of Wartburg, Iowa (8-4).
*Gianni Frausto went 1-2, defeating Andrew Campbell of Cornell College, Iowa (6-4, 6-2) in the D Singles Championship before losing to Pedro Okino of Carthage, Wis. (5-7, 6-4, 10-4) in the quarterfinals. Frausto lost to Cathal Mee of St. Olaf, Minn. (8-0) in the Consolation Singles Draw I.

MIDWEST OPEN – DOUBLES DRAW:
* Daigle/Frausto lost to Benjamin Temple/Jacob Stinski of UW-Stevens Point (8-5) in the B Doubles Draw.
