USTFCCCA Release
New Orleans, La. - The University of Wisconsin-La Crosse women's track & field team earned the 2025 U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA) Academic Award in National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) Division III, the organization has announced Monday. UWL finished with a 3.58 cumulative grade point average in 2025.
Seven institutions from the Wisconsin Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (WIAC) earned the honor, including UWL (3.53), UW-Eau Claire (3.59), UW-Oshkosh (3.50), UW-Platteville (3.54), UW-River Falls (3.53), UW-Stevens Point (3.34) and UW-Stout (3.53).

Jarrett was named the 2025 USTFCCCA Track Scholar Athlete of the Year. The Scholar Athlete of the Year is earned by a student-athlete grade point average plus national titles. Jarrett won the 100 and 200-meter dash at the 2025 NCAA Division III Outdoor Championships while also anchoring the winning 4x100-meter relay.
She swept the 60 and 200-meter dash at the 2025 national indoor championships.
Jarrett is the first student-athlete in UWL women's track & field history to earn the USTFCCCA Track Scholar Athlete of the Year Award. The Eagles' Caitlin Schetter (2009) and Bria Halama (2014, 2015) were named the USTFCCCA Field Scholar Athlete of the Year. Schetter earned the indoor and outdoor award in 2009 while Halama earned both in 2015. Halama was also the 2014 USTFCCCA Indoor Field Scholar Athlete of the year.
To qualify for the USTFCCCA All-Academic Track & Field Team, the student-athlete must have compiled a cumulative grade point average of at least 3.30 and met at least one of the following athletic standards: have finished the indoor or outdoor season ranked in the national top 50 of an individual event or in the national top 35 of a relay event on the official NCAA Descending Order list on TFRRS; or competed in the NCAA Indoor or Outdoor Championship.
