Monica Wawrzyn of
Delafield (Kettle Moraine) have been named to the 2025 United Soccer Coaches National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) Division III Region IX Team.
Caya, Speltz and Steeno were selected to the Region IX First Team while Wawrzyn earned Region IX Second Team accolades and Sawadski Region IX Third Team honors.
UWL had three of the 11 selections to the Region IX First Team. The Eagles are the only team to have three first team honorees. A total of 11 players were voted to the all-region second and fourth teams while 13 were named to the third team.
Aubree Caya
With this year's five selections, UWL has 39 United Soccer Coaches All-Region honors in school history, including 22 in the last five seasons. It is the third time (2022, 2023, 2025) the Eagles have a school record five all-region choices in the same season.
All five players were named to the 2025 All-Wisconsin Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (WIAC) First Team while earning their first career all-region honor.
Caya was voted the 2025 WIAC Offensive Player of the Year and a three-time conference offensive player of the week selection.
Jillian Sawadski
Setting single-season school records with 24 goals, 55 points and shots (91), Caya led the WIAC in goals, points, shots, and shots on goal (58) this season. She broke
Jennifer Tischaefer's school records of 19 goals in 1997 and 1999 and 50 points in 1997. Caya's 91 shots broke the single-season school record 86 set by
Ainsley Allan in 2022. Caya tied for the WIAC lead in game-winning goals (4) while finishing tied for seventh in assists (7). She tied for fourth for UWL in assists. Caya started 22 games this season.
A starter in all 23 games, Sawadski finished second in the WIAC in assists (12) and shots on goal (30) while ranking third in goals (11) and points (34). She also tied for third in game-winning goals (3) and was selected the league's offensive player of the week once during the season.
Sera Speltz
Sawadski's 12 assists are tied for third in single-season school history. Sawadski was second for UWL in assists and shots on goal while finishing tied for second in points (34) and game-winning goals (3) and ranking third in goals (11) and fourth in shots (46).
Named the WIAC Offensive Player of the Week during the season, Speltz appeared in 22 games this season with 11 starts. She finished second for UWL in goals (14) while being tied for second in points (34), game-winning goals (3) and shots (53). Speltz was third in shots on goal (26).
Allison Steeno
She was second in the WIAC in goals and points this year finishing tied for third in game-winning goals, tied for fourth in shots and tied for fifth in shots on goal.
A transfer from the University of Wisconsin-Green Bay, Steeno started all 23 games this season. She helped UWL's defense record 15 shutouts, second-most in school history.
The Eagles allowed 14 goals in 23 games, leading the WIAC in goals against average (0.61) and shutouts.
Wawrzyn was voted the 2025 WIAC Newcomer of the Year. Starting all 23 games, she led UWL and the WIAC in assists (13). Her 13 assists tied the single-season school record of
Kaitlyn Villars in 2018. Wawrzyn recorded an assist in 11 games, including a pair of contests with two assists. She had one game-winning goal.
Monica Wawrzyn
UWL finished 19-3-1 overall and 6-0-1 in the WIAC this season under head coach
Jason Murphy. The Eagles won the WIAC regular season and tournament titles while advancing to the NCAA Division III Second Round.
