Jillian Sawadski of
Mount Prospect, Ill. (Prospect) and
Sera Speltz of
Winona, Minn. (Cotter) have been named to the 2025 United Soccer Coaches National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) Division III All-North/Central Region Scholar Team.
Caya and Speltz are two of 11 selections to the United Soccer Coaches Scholar All-North/Central Region First Team while Sawadski is one of 14 named to the All-North/Central Region Second Team.
UWL is the only Wisconsin Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (WIAC) school to have student-athletes selected to the United Soccer Coaches All-North/Central Region Scholar Team.
Aubree Caya
All three players earned 2025 College Sports Communicators (CSC) Academic All-District® accolades.
Majoring in biomedical sciences with a 3.83 grade point average, Caya was named to the 2025 All-WIAC First Team. She was voted the WIAC Offensive Player of the Year and a three-time conference player of the week selection.
Setting single-season school records with 24 goals, 55 points and shots (91) in 2025, Caya led the WIAC in goals, points, shots, and shots on goal (58) this season. She broke
Jennifer Tischaefer's school records of 19 goals in 1997 and 1999 and 50 points in 1997. Caya's 91 shots broke the single-season school record 86 set by
Ainsley Allan in 2022. Caya tied for the WIAC lead in game-winning goals (4) while finishing tied for seventh in assists (7). She tied for fourth for UWL in assists. Caya started 22 games this season. She is a two-year member of the WIAC Scholastic Honor Roll.
An exercise sport science major with a 3.85 grade point average, Speltz was voted to this year's All-WIAC First Team. She was also selected the WIAC Offensive Player of the Week once.
Sera Speltz
Appearing in 22 games, including 11 starts, Speltz finished second for UWL in goals (14) while being tied for second in points (34), game-winning goals (3) and shots (53). She was third in shots on goal (26). Speltz was second in the WIAC in goals and points this year finishing tied for third in game-winning goals, tied for fourth in shots and tied for fifth in shots on goal. She was named to the 2024-25 WIAC Scholastic Honor Roll.
Sawadski is a biomedical sciences major with a 3.86 grade point average. She was named to the 2025 All-WIAC First Team and was selected the league's offensive player of the week once during the season.
A starter in all 23 games, Sawadski finished second in the WIAC in assists (12) and shots on goal (30) while ranking third in goals (11) and points (34). She also tied for third in game-winning goals (3). Sawadski's 12 assists are tied for third in single-season school history.
Jillian Sawadski
Sawadski was second for UWL in assists and shots on goal while finishing tied for second in points (34) and game-winning goals (3) and ranking third in goals (11) and fourth in shots (46). She has also been a member of the WIAC Scholastic Honor Roll twice in her career.
She is the second player in school history to record double-digit goals and assists in the same season. Tischaefer had 17 goals and 12 assists in 1996 and finished with 19 goals and 12 assists in 1997.
UWL finished 19-3-1 overall and 6-0-1 in the WIAC this season under head coach
Jason Murphy. The Eagles won the WIAC regular season and tournament titles while advancing to the NCAA Division III Second Round.
