Terre Haute, Ind. - The University of Wisconsin-La Crosse women's cross country team, ranked ninth in this week's U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA) National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) Division III Poll, finished 10th Saturday morning in the Indiana State University John McNichols Invitational at LaVern Gibson Championship Course.
The Eagles finished with 246 team points. The University of Michigan won the team title with 27 points with Indiana State second with 107 and Colorado College third with 160. The University of Chicago (Ill.) was fourth with 168 and New York University fifth with 177. A total of 30 teams competed.
UWL had seven runners finish in the top-75 overall among all teams, including NCAA Division I. The Eagles'
Mallory Reiser was the top finisher, placing 48th with a time of 22:31.0 on the 6,000-meter course.
Gwen Hinz was 49th (22:31.) for UWL with
Katelyn Chadwick 52nd (22:33.7).
Madison Twarling placed 65th (22:45.8),
Madelynn McIntyre 73rd (22:57.1),
Sierra Rabe 74th (22:57.5) and
Brooklyn Luebke 75th (22:59.5).

UWL returns to action Saturday, October 4 with a pair of meets. The Eagles travel to the University of Notre Dame Joe Piane Invitational and the UW-Eau Claire Blugold Invitational.
