Colfax, Wis. - The University of Wisconsin-La Crosse women's cross country team captured the National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) Division III North Regional Saturday afternoon at Whitetail Golf Course.
The Eagles, ranked sixth on the U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA) NCAA Division III Top 35 Poll, finished with 45 team points to win its fourth (2001, 2021, 2024-25) regional title in school history, including second straight.
Carleton College (Minn.) placed second on Saturday with 71 team points.

UWL and Carleton (Minn.) earn automatic bids to the NCAA Division III Championships with the top two finishes.
The NCAA Division III Championships are scheduled for Saturday, November 22 at the Roger Milliken Center in Spartanburg, South Carolina.
UW-Eau Claire placed third (123 points) and St. Olaf College (Minn.) fourth (184) on Saturday followed by Gustavus Adolphus College, Minn. (255), UW-Whitewater (265), UW-Stevens Point (271), UW-Oshkosh (296), Ripon College, Wis. (298) and Bethel University, Minn. (303) to round out the top 10. A total of 30 teams competed.
All seven of UWL's runners earned NCAA III All-Region accolades with top 35 finishes on Saturday, including four in the top 10. The Eagles'
Lucy Duchac was second overall with a time of 21:48.0 on the 6,000-meter course with
Brooklyn Luebke sixth (21:53.4),
Annika Elliott seventh (22:05.3) and
Becca Immer 10th (22:13.5).
Madison Twarling placed 20th (22:35.5) with
Julia Zalewski 21st (22:40.5) and
Lily Higgins 25th (22:48.4).
Hannah Preisser of Carleton (Minn.) won the regional title on Saturday (21:40.2). A total of 207 runners completed the race.
 UW-Eau Claire served as host of the regional championships.
