UWL Defeats Wheaton (Mass.) and Franciscan Steubenvile to Open Spring Trip

Lakeland, Fla. - The University of Wisconsin-La Crosse men's tennis team opened its spring trip with a pair of wins Monday at the Lakeland Beerman Courts. The Eagles earned a 9-0 victory over Wheaton College (Mass.) followed by a 7-2 win over Franciscan University of Steubenville (Ohio). UWL improves to 8-5 on the season.

The Eagles won four of the six singles matches with Wheaton (Mass.) in three sets while sweeping the three doubles matches. UWL took five singles matches and two doubles in the victory over Franciscan Steubenville (Ohio).

Jack Hehli, Alex Aranda, Luke Hinchcliffe and Nathan Rose went 2-0 in singles on Monday while Cole Contardi/Hehli and Hinchcliffe/Rose both finished 2-0 in doubles.
